Vontobel has put together a new team that will provide wealth management advisory services to rich clients in Milan. The team leader joined recently from Credit Suisse.
Wealthy clients of Vontobel will be able to get dedicated wealth management services from a new team in Milan starting with immediate effect, according to a statement by the Zurich-based bank on Monday. The 20-strong team under the guidance of Lorenzo Palleroni will aim to widen its reach and boost the number of clients for the bank.
Services for Wealthy Clients
Palleroni joined Vontobel earlier this month from its Zurich-rival Credit Suisse. He has a wealth of experience in the business and is closely familiar with the region of Lombardy and Milan. Part of his new team in Milan also joined from Credit Suisse.
From its new office at Via Santa Maria Segreta 7 in Milan, Vontobel will offer advisory services to individual clients, using state-of-the-art technology. The focus is primarily on high- and ultra-high-net worth clients, wealthy families, entrepreneurs, foundations and family holding companies. Vontobel already operates successfully in Italy with its asset management business and as a provider of structured product solutions.
Growth Region
«The economically powerful Northern Italy region is one of Vontobel’s European growth markets. With the appointment of Lorenzo Palleroni, Vontobel has gained a proven wealth management expert with a deep understanding of the expectations of Italian clients,» said Georg Schubiger, head of wealth management at Vontobel.
The bank in 2015 had acquired Finter Bank and with it the offshore services available for rich Italians from its base in Zurich and the Ticino-region.
