The Swiss token and coin specialist is replacing the head of its brokerage and preparing for an upcoming milestone.
Crypto Finance Group is naming Rupertus Rothenhaeuser as head of its brokerage, effective immediately, it said in an emailed statement on Tuesday. He replaces company founder Jan Brzezek in the role. Brzezek is CEO of the wider group.
Rothenhaeuser was until now head of business development and ecosystem at SDX, the Swiss exchange operator's project to digitize trading of securities. His appointment is one of several disclosed by the Zurich-based start-up ahead of when it expects to be licensed as a securities house by Swiss financial regulator Finma
Bolstering Trading
The other changes include senior trader Patrick Heusser taking over leadership of trading activities from Simon Tobler, who had built up the segment since the company's founding three years ago. Crypto Finance is also hiring Sara Frei as a sales execution trader and Mike Schwitalla as a senior cryptocurrency trader.
Frei is a trading veteran of Singapore as well as Zurich, while Schwitalla was most recently with Swiss cooperative lender Raiffeisen as a foreign exchange and options trader.
