He is one of the leading fintech experts in Switzerland. Now he has taken a board seat at an up-and-coming Swiss company.

Fintech and banking expert Johannes Hoehener is the new board member of Ti&M, the Swiss technology company announced Friday. Hoehener has already been advising the company as an advisory board member since early 2018.

In his new role, Hoehener will support the development of the foreign branches and help shape the product portfolio for the digitization of banking processes. He will be assisted by Samuel Scheidegger, head of products and member of the executive board, and Marc Buehler, head of the Singapore branch.

A Secret Giant

Hoehener is one of the best-known fintech thought leaders in Switzerland. From 2014, he headed the influential fintech cluster at Swisscom; the telecom group acts as a partner to around 170 local banks and can thus be considered a secret giant in the financial center.

Previously, Hoehener sat on the management board of IT service provider Comit from 1996 to 2010, then served as CEO of Swisscom subsidiary ITS Sourcing until 2012 and subsequently built up the e-commerce competence center at the company E-research. In total, he has more than 40 years of experience in the financial industry. He currently works as a fintech expert at Swisscom Digital Business, advising on digital assets and trust services.

Board of Directors Expanded

With Hoehener, the board of directors grows to six members. Thomas Wuest, as CEO and founder of the company, holds the role of chairman of the board of directors.
