After 15 years at the Swiss wealth manager, Julius Baer's ex-trading boss is adding a fintech mandate to to his portfolio career.

Amnis Treasury Services is appointing Peter Gerlach to its board, the Swiss fintech said in an emailed statement on Wednesday. The six-year-old start-up wants to simplify payments for small- and mid-sized businesses, or SMEs.

Gerlach spent left Julius Baer last year after a range of roles including strategic projects for the CEO and sitting on the board of Seba, representing a minority stake the wealth manager bought in the crypto bank three years ago. He joined Boston Consulting Group as a senior adviser last year.

Amnis' other board members are Robert Bloch (co-Founder and operating chief), Philippe Christen (co-Founder and financial chief), und Michael Wuest (co-Founder and CEO) as well as Stefan Buerzle, CEO of Deloitte in Liechtenstein.
