The amount of energy required for crypto is increasingly becoming an issue, Helveteq offers two carbon-neutral investment products.
Helveteq is listing two new crypto exchange-traded products (ETPs) on Switzerland's SIX exchange, bringing the total number of crypto ETP issuers to 11, SIX announced on Monday.
The two products, Bitcoin Zero and Ether Zero are part of a «crypto goes carbon neutral» initiative with Helveteq working in conjunction with the Swiss fintech innovation lab at the University of Zurich.

«It is time to offer investors the first carbon-neutral crypto ETPs by a Swiss issuer. Awareness of the link between the environment and the blockchain economy is rising fast and we all must work together to find sustainable solutions,» said Cristian Katz, CEO of Helveteq.
Crypto Growth
Last year, trading turnover was 8.6 billion Swiss francs ($9.4 billion) on its exchange, SIX said, which is up nearly 700 percent from 1.1 billion francs in 2020. Total transactions were over 350,000, also a six-fold increase.
