The exit door at Credit Suisse has swung open once again, as the bank's head of Italy moves to a competitor.

Another senior banker is leaving Credit Suisse. Andrea Donzelli the head of Italy for the bank is moving to American financial services provider Jefferies, according to a «Bloomberg» (behind paywall) report citing people familiar.

Donzelli, who also co-headed Credit Suisse's investment banking and capital markets business in Italy, will join Jefferies in the first quarter of 2023 as vice chairman and country head for Italy, according to the report.

New Investment Banking Co-Heads

There he will work closely with Mauro Premazzi, head of investment banking in Italy. Before joining Credit Suisse, Donzelli held various positions at Lehman Brothers.

Separately, Credit Suisse has appointed Paolo Celesia and Michele Pangrazzi as co-heads of Italian investment banking and capital markets, according to the story.

Working With Industrial Clients

Celesia, who was responsible for Southern European equity markets at the bank, and Pangrazzi, co-head of M&A industrials EMEA, will assume their new roles with immediate effect, according to the statement.

According to the insiders, Celesia will continue to oversee ECM activities in Italy and select transactions in Southern Europe, and Pangrazzi will continue to work with select industrial clients outside Italy. Both are longtime employees of the Swiss financial institution.
