Banque Heritage’s head of private banking Michael Welti tells finews.tv how the bank dealt with the challenging financial markets in 2022.

The bank, which merged with Basel-based Sallford Privatbank, and has locations in Geneva, Zurich, Basel, Sion, and Montevideo (Uruguay), sees Latin America, and the Middle East as regions where it can grow its business.

Banque Heritage doesn’t rule out making further acquisitions if the target fits, Michael Welti said. With origins in soft commodity trading, Banque Heritage has a special perspective when it comes to dealing with the ups and downs of financial markets.

The diversification of investments is always important, but proved to be particularly valuable in last year's challenging environment, Welti said.
