There are changes at the top of the association of foreign banks in Switzerland. The new president is the head of the Swiss subsidiary of a UK-based asset manager.

Heinrich Henckel, is stepping down as president of the Association of Foreign Banks in Switzerland (AFBS) it said in a statement Friday. Henckel, who is also CEO of LGT Bank Switzerland will be replaced by Adrian Noesberger (image below).

Before joining LGT, Henckel was CEO of the Swiss Stock Exchange for seven years.

Noesberger is the CEO of Schroder & Co Bank and has been a member of the association's board for several years, serving as its vice president for the past four years. His professional experience includes management positions at Clariden Leu and Julius Baer, according to his Linkedin profile.  He is also a member of the board of Economiesuisse.

The new vice chairman is Alfonso Gomez, CEO of the Swiss BBVA subsidiary. Anne Marion-Bouchacourt, country head of Société Générale Switzerland, will also remain in office as vice chairman. Gabriel Castello, CEO of HSBC Private Bank (Suisse), and Laurent Gagnebin, CEO of Rothschild & Co Bank, will also join the board as new members.
