Bank Julius Baer appoints a new head of the Swiss market in Geneva who also becomes the office's branch manager.

Sacha Bodenehr becomes head of the Swiss market in Geneva for Bank Julius Baer and also takes over branch manager duties. He will manage the bank's Swiss business in the Rhone city and coordinate cooperation between all functional and departmental heads on site, according to a statement Monday.

Two Decades at Baer

He already gained experience in the roles as he is currently performing both on an interim basis.

He joined Julius Baer in 2003, having held various management positions, including chief of staff for French-speaking Switzerland and Western Europe, head of CEO office and deputy chief of staff, and head of strategic projects Europe. He previously worked at Banque Ferrier Lullin & Cie.

Geneva is of strategic importance to the private bank both in terms of the growth of its global business and the development of its Swiss strategy, where the bank employs about 350 people.
