Swiss Life announced several leadership changes, including new board members and a CEO for its international business.

Frank W. Keuper will step down from the board of directors of Swiss Life due to age limits, with the April 28 annual general meeting (AGM) to be his last. All remaining members of the board will be put forward for re-election, according to an announcement Wednesday in conjunction with Swiss Life releasing its annual results

In addition, the board will propose to the AGM that Philomena Colatrella, CEO of CSS Group, and Severin Moser, former CEO of Allianz Suisse and designated President of the Swiss Employers’ Association, be elected as new members of the Board of Directors.

Both have many years of management experience, broad specialist knowledge, and an extensive network in the insurance and pensions industry, according to Swiss Life.

New International CEO

The insurer also announced that Theo Iaponas has been appointed as the new CEO of Swiss Life International and a member of the corporate executive board effective July 1. He is to succeed Nils Frowein who is leaving Swiss Life after 15 years to pursue another career path. 

Iponas held several management positions at Swiss Life, most recently as CEO of global employee benefits at Swiss Life International in Luxembourg.
