The chase for fallen crypto entrepreneur Do Kwon may have finally come to an end with his arrest in Montenegro.

Do Kwon has been arrested by authorities in Podgorica, Montenegro, according to a social media post by the country’s interior minister Filip Adzic, alongside Terraform chief financial officer Han Chang Joon.

«Montenegrin police have detained a person suspected of being one of the most wanted fugitives, South Korean citizen Do Kwon, co-founder, and CEO of Singapore-based Terraform Labs,» Adzic said in a tweet.

Kwon was arrested early Thursday for attempting to fly to Dubai using falsified Costa Rican traveling documents. Separately, South Korean police confirmed the arrest after Kwon's fingerprints matched official records, according to a «BBC» report.

US Charges

Following his arrest, American prosecutors slapped Kwon with multiple charges including securities fraud, commodities fraud and conspiracy, according to a «Bloomberg» report citing an indictment by the US attorney’s office in Manhattan.

The charges come one month after the Securities and Exchange Commission sued Kwon, accusing him and Terraform of offering and selling unregistered securities.
