VP Bank, strongly anchored in the business with intermediaries, appointed a new head of the division for Switzerland who was previously with another Liechtenstein bank.

Switzerland-based VP Bank is appointing Sascha Steinmann as Head Intermediaries, effective August 1, and will report to Peter Vangehr, head of Private Banking & Intermediaries, according to a statement Wednesday.

Steinmann will work in an area that is a core business of the internationally active banking group. Business with intermediaries such as external asset managers, family offices, and fiduciaries, is one of VP's Bank's most important client segments, it said.

Previously with LGT Bank

Steinmann joins VP Bank from LGT Bank Switzerland, where he served as a team leader in the servicing and acquisition of external asset managers since 2018. Between 1998 and 2018, he worked at Bank Julius Baer, most recently as the Sub Market Head of Intermediaries for German-speaking Switzerland.

VP Bank Ltd was founded in 1956 and, with approximately 1,000 employees, is one of Liechtenstein's largest banks. At the end of 2022, the listed banking group's client assets under management totaled more than 46 billion Swiss francs ($49.8 billion).
