Zurich-based Julius Baer wasted no time filling a recent vacancy in its business with external asset managers.

Julius Baer is appointing Marcel Suhner as head of intermediaries for German- and Italian-speaking Switzerland, effective immediately, it said in a statement Monday.

Suhner, who joined the private bank in 2015, has headed intermediaries in Europe since 2016, expanding the bank’s business with intermediary clients in the UK and across Europe, the statement said. He steps into a vacancy created by the departure of Michel Yigit, as finews.com reported.

Before that, he spent over ten years in various roles at UBS and Credit Suisse.

Interim Solution

David Reymond, head of intermediaries APAC & EMEA Julius Baer, will take over as head of intermediaries Europe on an interim basis.
