Brazilian-Swiss private bank J. Safra Sarasin opens a branch in Paris where work has begun.

Banque J. Safra Sarasin (Luxembourg) has opened a new branch in Paris, according to an announcement by the Luxembourg subsidiary of the Brazilian-Swiss private bank J. Safra Sarasin on Tuesday.

Focus on Wealthy French

The Paris office began operations at the beginning of September and is headed by Stéphane Pardini, who has been working for the institute for about a year. Previously, he worked for Geneva-based rival Edmond de Rothschild for many years. Pardini reports to Edan Jules Moor, the head of the Luxembourg-based parent bank.

The opening of the French office fits into the group's strategy to expand its activities in core European markets. The office will focus on high-net-worth French individuals, families, and institutions.
