Swiss online bank Swissquote will have a new chief operating officer at the beginning of next year. 

Swissquote appoints Nestor Verrier as future chief operating officer (COO) effective January 1, to replace retiring incumbent Lino Finini, according to a statement Wednesday.

Verrier is currently based in Luxembourg and has been serving as the general manager of Swissquote Bank Europe since 2019. His 20-year career in international banking includes several leadership positions in operations, IT development, and security analysis. Before Swissquote, he was with Banque Carnegie Luxembourg, most recently as general manager, according to his Linkedin profile.

Various Positions

Finini worked for Swissquote since 2001 in various leadership positions and as its COO since 2019. In March it was announced he is stepping down to retire at the end of December.

At the end of June, Swissquote held over 56 billion Swiss francs in assets for more than 555,000 private and institutional clients. Its parent company, Swissquote Group Holding, is listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange. The Swissquote Group and PostFinance each own 50 percent of the fintech app Yuh.
