Geneva-headquartered Edmond de Rothschild forms a partnership with a Vietnamese lender to provide domestic private banking services. 

Edmond de Rothschild has formed a strategic partnership with the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), according to a statement.  

As part of the tie-up, the Swiss lender will support BIDV in building its private banking capabilities. As a result, its clients will gain access to specialized investment products and financial solutions as well as «connect with global elites and experience Edmond de Rothschild’s unique ecosystem in Europe». They will also be served by dedicated asset managers.

Established in 1957, BIDV is the oldest financial institution in Vietnam. Today, it boasts over 500,000 corporate customers, 18 million individual customers, and 2,300 financial institution clients.
