Man Group Names New Swiss Sales Chief

The global alternative investment manager, Man Group, has appointed Joerg Zimmermann as its new head of Swiss sales. He assumed the position in Freienbach this month. The new sales chief reports to Matteo Cianfoni, the head of continental wealth. Zimmermann will lead the distribution of the firm’s funds and services for both institutional and wealth channels in Switzerland, Man Group told finews.

He succeeds Manuele de Gennaro, the former head of M&G Switzerland, who had been holding the role since 2021. De Gennaro will be joining a fast-growing asset management company with around 80 employees in Zurich.

Made at Man Group

Zimmermann spent the majority of his professional trajectory at Man Group. He spent the previous eight years as a managing director in business development for Austria and Germany. Prior to that, he spent three years as a senior hedge fund risk analyst. From 2012 until 2015, he was a hedge fund risk and transparency analyst. He originally joined the firm in 2008 as a Hedge Fund Valuation Analyst (MACs). Earlier in his career, he served as an assistant portfolio manager at Hoey Investments.
