Lombard Odier Strengthens Turkey Business with UBS Private Banker
Tuncay Yilmaz will join Lombard Odier as Market Head Turkey on 3 August. He will move from UBS, where he has worked for the past twelve years, the bank said in an internal memo. Most recently, he served in Zurich as Desk Head for ultra-high-net-worth and high-net-worth clients from Turkey.
Nearly three Decades of Banking Experience
The banker has nearly 30 years of experience in private banking. Before joining UBS, he worked for BNP Paribas Suisse, UBS in Geneva, Banque du Bosphore in Paris and Turkey's Finansbank, among others.
Expansion of the Turkey Business
With the appointment, Lombard Odier aims to further expand its business with Turkish clients. The Turkish market is considered strategically important for the Geneva-based private bank. Yilmaz will be based in Geneva, reporting directly to the head of the New Markets division, and will become a member of the New Markets Management Forum.
Cem Kosenem, who has been serving as interim head of the Turkey business, will continue in his role as Senior Banker and will report to Yilmaz.
