Leonteq Expands Platform for Structured Currency Products
The Zurich-based provider of structured investment products, Leonteq, is continuing to expand its digital business. With the new FX pricer on the LYNQS platform, professional and institutional investors should be able to assemble and trade structured products linked to different currencies more easily, the company said on Wednesday.
The new function provides access to more than 80 currency pairs as well as real-time foreign exchange rates. For each currency pair, up to 60 illustrative investment scenarios can be calculated and compared.
Investors can take different risk profiles into account, from conservative to more aggressive strategies. Pricing and subsequent execution take place directly via the digital platform.
Rising Demand For Currency Products
According to the company, the expansion is a response to growing demand for structured foreign exchange products. This is being driven by increasing volatility in the currency markets and the associated investment opportunities.
“We are seeing a significant increase in demand from our clients for structured FX products,” explains Lorenzo Leccesi, Head of Investment Solutions at Leonteq. The new FX pricer is intended in particular to make access to short-term currency strategies easier and speed up execution.
More Functions Planned
The launch is part of the expansion of LYNQS, through which Leonteq serves professional investors with structured investment solutions.
The company plans to further develop the pricing functions for currency products while taking regional specificities into account. In addition, the options for pricing and executing products across various asset classes are to be expanded.
