The intuitive online platform Quantum allows to manage investment strategies with only a few clicks. Find out more about the wide range of options.

Credit Suisse’s Quantum platform makes investment ideas investable. Quantum is powered by the latest technology and enables the efficient management of investment solutions such as actively managed certificates (AMC) and actively managed swaps (AMS). Professional investors can implement a desired investment strategy in a flexible, cost-efficient and transparent way.

They benefit from Credit Suisse's global execution capabilities across more than 40 exchanges worldwide.

Clients can focus on their asset allocation while reducing their administrative burden by delegating the entire process of executing and administering the strategy to Credit Suisse. At the same time, the Quantum platform offers full transparency regarding current and historical allocation, execution prices, costs, performance calculations, and secondary market prices.

A comprehensive library of interactive performance and risk analytics enables the timely and efficient assessment of performance and risk metrics with numerous download options.

Delivery Solutions and Use Cases

With Quantum, Credit Suisse's comprehensive structuring expertise can be used to create customized investment solutions for individual needs. In addition to structures such as tracker certificates (AMCs), warrants or capital protection products can also be launched. For special needs, swaps (AMS) or the launch via special purpose vehicle (SPV) are possible as well.

There are many potential use cases, ranging from thematic investments to hedging and tactical overlay strategies, which are used to manage market or duration risks of discretionary mandates, among other things.

Whether a strategy should be designed as «long-only» or equipped with leverage that is dynamically adjustable on a daily basis is determined individually by taking the client's needs into account when creating the strategy. An FX hedging toolbox is also available to safeguard against currency risks.

Broad Multi-Asset Investment Universe

Credit Suisse offers actively managed solutions for a comprehensive investment universe across all asset classes.

This provides AMC managers access to a wide range of instruments such as equities, bonds, futures, options, swaps, benchmark indices, FX forwards, CDS indices, ETFs, mutual funds, alternative investments, and other non-linear products. Credit Suisse's proprietary investment content, such as systematic option- or risk-premium strategies, is also available.

State-of-the-Art Web Technology

Quantum provides a web-based, user-friendly interface with all the information needed to manage your own strategy. Transactions can either be entered directly on the portal or uploaded in table format, which can be particularly beneficial when executing a large number of portfolio transactions. Other solutions for connecting to the system – FTP and API, for example – are also available.

Quantum offers an extensive library of interactive performance and risk analytics widgets. Users can select and configure the widgets (see Figure 1) individually. For example, strategy performance can be broken down and exported by sector, country, and currency, all the way to the individual underlying level, across flexibly chosen periods with just a few clicks.

In addition to web-based reporting, Credit Suisse also offers client-specific reporting that can be tailored to specific requirements.

Placement of Orders

Rebalancing instructions, including details pertaining to the method of execution («on the close» or «VWAP»), can be easily submitted through the platform. Embedded investment guideline checks ensure trade acceptance when submitting a rebalance request. The real-time status of orders can be viewed in the order book. All executed orders are also visible and documented on a timeline.

Once the AMC is traded in the secondary market, buy and sell orders can be placed via the usual trading channels and custodian banks. Orders can be placed at NAV or intraday via bid/ask prices.
