The domestic business of insurer Swiss Life has lost its head of information technology. He was also a member of the country unit’s executive board.

Beat Marbach was head of IT at Swiss Life Switzerland since January 2015. A year ago, he was appointed to the executive board of the insurance company’s country unit.

IT magazine «inside-it.ch» reported that Marbach has left the company. Swiss Life confirmed the departure of the manager.

Foundations for Digital Transformation

In his two years at the Zurich-based company, Marbach created the foundations for the digital transformation of Swiss Life.

Marbach, 57, joined the insurer in 2008, first in the capacity of head IT corporate clients, later as head of «Face to the Customer», the unit responsible for the technological implementation of the digital transformation of the company.

Head Ad Interim

The company has already started looking for a replacement. Thomas Bahc, head of the field service, will take responsibility for the IT division ad interim.
