A Zurich-based property investment firm has hired an experienced portfolio manager from Banque Cantonale Vaudoise for its indirect real estate investment team.

Swiss Finance & Property Group (SFP) appointed Nicolas Di Maggio as CIO indirect investments and head of asset management indirect, the company said in a statement today. In this role, he will manage the team responsible for indirect investments in real estate and take charge of new products set to be launched.

Di Maggio was at Banque Cantonal Vaudoise (BCV) for ten years, most recently as lead portfolio manager and head of indirect real estate investments.

At SFP, Di Maggio will become a member of the management board, pending the approval of the regulator.

SFP, which is based in Zurich, was founded in 2001. It has 3.9 billion Swiss francs in assets under management and employs 53 people. SFP has acquired more than 500 buildings in Switzerland and abroad since taking up its business.
