Notenstein La Roche's top finance job was left vacant for months following an exodus last year. Now, the Swiss private bank has hired from a Credit Suisse subsidiary.

Daniel Buerchler will join private bank Notenstein La Roche as finance as well as operating chief in summer, Swisscard said in a statement on Wednesday. He is currently head of finance and corporate development at the credit card firm, a subsidiary of Credit Suisse and American Express.

The 50-year-old Buerchler's hire follows a major exodus at Raiffeisen-owned Notenstein last year which culminated in the exit of CEO Adrian Kuenzi. The new hire will replace Patrick Fuerer, who was initially hired to replace departed finance chief Basil Heebbut was promoted to replace Kuenzi in the top spot in October.

Buerchler has led finance at Swisscard since 2004. He studied engineering and worked as a consultant for McKinsey prior to Swisscard.
