One of the few female managers in the Swiss fund management industry is leaving her job at Syz. The founder of the company has to take over on an interim basis.

Katia Coudray, head of Syz Asset Management, is leaving the Geneva-based financial-services company, according to a statement released on Thursday. Eric Syz, the founder, will take over until he has found a successor.

Coudray joined Syz in 2011 and worked in several positions before taking over the lead of the funds business in June 2015. The unit has about 100 members of staff.

International Expansion

Over the past three years, the manager reorganized the institutional wealth management business Syz Asset Management and put it on an even keel. She also developed the business outside Switzerland and became known for her outspoken defense of active asset management.

Syz didn’t say where Coudray was going next.
