The Lausanne-based derivatives platform is buying a Swedish competitor. What's in it for Gottex Brokers?
Gottex Brokers is buying RP Martin in Stockholm, the interest rate derivatives specialist said on Monday. The Swedish firm's team will be merged into Gottex's staff, pending regulatory approval in Stockholm.
The two firms want to combine their reach in the Scandinavian market with an expanded offering. Last year, Gottex opened an office in Oslo thanks to a cooperation with Swiss interdealer broker Compagnie Financière Tradition.
Gottex, which entered the Swedish market three years ago, has been in expansion mode recently. Earlier this year, the Lausanne-based firm said it would open a second Swiss office, in Zurich.
