Barclays is adding to its presence in Switzerland. It has hired a manager from alternative investment solutions unit of Pictet.
The U.K.-based bank appointed Jean-Damien Marie as management director, according to a statement released on Monday. The hire shows that the bank aims to boost and develop its presence in Switzerland.
Marie will be based in Geneva and work as head of investment in the EMEA region. At Pictet, Marie was responsible for investment solutions at Pictet Alternative Advisors and before he worked at HSBC and Goldman Sachs.
