Muzinich, the U.S. asset manager, is targeting the market in French-speaking Switzerland. It has appointed an ex-banker of UBS and HSBC to help with this bid.

Muzinich hired Céline El Debs (pictured above) to take charge of the business in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, the company said in a statement on Friday. She will be based in Geneva.

The company last autumn appointed Martin Gut, the former CEO of Blackrock Switzerland, as new country head.

Experience in Asset Management

El Debs has more than 25 years of experience in Swiss asset management. She has worked for both HSBC Private Bank and UBS Global Asset Management in Geneva.

The banker has a master in business administration, finance and investments from George Washington University in Washington.
