Erich Pfister is tasked with building up Oddo BHF in Switzerland. The veteran private banker just nabbed a team of private bankers off a German rival.

Oddo BHF, the Franco-German finance firm, has lifted a five-person team from DZ Bank in Zurich, including three private bankers, Erich Pfister told «Bloomberg» (item not available online).

The 53-year-old Pfister joined Oddo BHF last August after leaving embattled Falcon Private Bank, as finews.com reported. He is starting from practically zero in building Switzerland as the third pillar of Oddo BHF, which expanded rapidly in the last five years with three key acquisitions under French banker Philippe Oddo.

Pfister said he plans to double the number of private bankers in the coming two years, including in Geneva, where he aims to hire five advisers. The bank targets French citizens living in Switzerland for business, he said.
