Investments in hedge funds and other alternative financial products are not readily available for retail customers. A Swiss fintech aims to change this.

Zurich-based Stableton launched a platform for alternative investments, according to information available on its website. Retail clients will be able to invest in complex hedge fund strategies with as little as 100 Swiss francs ($100) via the platform.

The platform, which was co-founded by Andreas Bezner, an erstwhile hedge fund manager, is aimed at financial intermediaries who want to make alternative investments available to clients. Usually, investors are barred from such asset classes below a set amount that tends to be substantial. They also involve a high degree of administration and fees to match. Stableton was founded to change all this.

The fintech has launched its platform in Switzerland, but aims to become a leading, globally active provider of alternative investments. Currently, Stableton offers twelve products that give access to various hedge fund strategies. Further products are set to be launched.
