Pictet is adding a hedge fund manager to the board of its asset management division. At the Geneva-based bank, the U.S. citizen joined the crew of Renaud de Planta.

Nobel Gulati became a member of the board of Pictet Asset Management in mid-June, according to a statement released by the bank.

Gulati was at U.S. hedge fund Two Sigma for twelve years, managing the company as its CEO from 2011 through 2018. During his time at the hedge fund, assets under management increased to $60 billion from $3 billion.

Big Name Committee

The board of Pictet Asset Management is chaired by Renaud de Planta. He will take over the management of Pictet as senior managing partner in September.

Gulati is joining a committee alongside several big-name bankers, including Massimo Tosato, who used to lead Italy’s Quaestio Capital Management. Richard Heelis and Rolf Banz are two members who have been with the Pictet division for a long time.
