The Genevan wealth manager is poaching from Banque Cantonale Vaudoise to update its technology processes and digitization.

Reyl is hiring Frédéric Le Hellard as its head of information technology systems, effective this month, the Swiss bank said in a statement. Le Hellard, poached from Banque Cantonale Vaudoise, will also join Reyl's nine-person executive committee.

He replaces Robert Curmat, who oversees operations and organization at Reyl. Le Hellard ran BCV's IT for more than ten years. Previously, he was with Unicible and Message Media Europe.

In 2017, the family-owned and partner-led bank Reyl offloaded its asset management arm in order to pour money into digitization. Shortly after, it snapped up a stake in a Californian online bank. Reyl is among a handful of Swiss wealth managers to quietly accept crypto-sourced wealth, in fiat.
