The Genevan private bank is hiring two bankers to bolster its domestic activities with rich entrepreneurs. It plans to keep hiring to reinforce the Swiss market.

Syz is hiring Mehdi Lakhdar (pictured above) and Andrea Bodini-Nocent, as private bankers in Geneva and Lugano, respectively, the bank said in a statement. The duo will focus strongly on winning entrepreneurs as clients, Syz said.

The private bankers will report to Lorenzo Romano, Syz's head of Switzerland and Europe. «We remain first and foremost committed to the Swiss market, our home market, where we will continue our strategic recruitment,» Romano said.

Lakhdar joins from Banque Cantonale de Genève, where he advised the ultra-rich and previously worked for UBS and Barclays. Bodini-Nocent was most recently with EFG in Luxembourg and previously with Société Générale.
