Accenture has appointed a new country head for Switzerland. He used to be in charge of the financial services unit at the consultancy.

Marco Huwiler (pictured below) will take over as head of Accenture Switzerland in January, according to a statement by the company. Huwiler, 44, will replace Thomas Meyer, who is due to retire at the end of May, 2020.

Huwiler studied economic sciences and joined Accenture after finishing his studies. He currently heads the financial services department in the rank of a managing director. For the past two decades, he has been advising clients from the insurance business mainly, both in Switzerland and abroad. He thus became a driving force behind the establishment of the business of Accenture in this segment.
