Clarus Capital has hired a bond expert from UBS. His main goal will be to help boost the investment performance of the wealth manager.

Clarus Capital, a Zurich-based wealth manager, appointed Markus Mettier as head of fixed income, the company said on Monday. Mettier worked for UBS for more than three decades and was responsible for the emerging-market bond offering.

His experience will help boost the performance of Clarus Capital, which focuses on clients from ex-Soviet nations. Mettier is part of the company’s asset management division headed by Roger Ganz, who is also listed as chief investment officer.
