Bordier, one of just five truly «banquier privé» firms remaining in Switzerland, is adding a fourth partner. The new man's experience lies in the asset management industry.

The Genevan wealth manager is naming Christian Skaanild as a partner, it said in a statement on Monday. The Danish-born banker is an asset management veteran who joins from Capital Group, where he oversaw private equity in emerging markets.

Previously, the 45-year-old was a consultant for Accenture in London and worked for venture capital firm Antfactory in London as well as Tokyo. He graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in industrial economics.

Partner Structure

Skaanild brings Bordier's partnership to four men, alongside Grégoire Bordier, Evrard Bordier, and Michel Juvet. The wealth manager also has two limited partners, Patrice Lagnaux and Alessandro Caldana.

Bordier is one of the few Swiss private banks with partners of unlimited liability, in which the partners vouch for the bank's solvency with their personal funds. The others are Baumann, Reichmuth & Co, Rahn and Bodmer, and E. Gutzwiller.
