Swiss Re has made four key appointments at the Asian division of its business, in a bid to speed up the regional expansion.

The world’s second-largest reinsurer appointed Anna Lee as head of new business development in the Property & Casuality department for Southeast Asia, India, Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Lee is based in Hong Kong and will report to Victor Kuk, the head of P&C, according to a statement sent by the company on Tuesday.

Furthermore, Swiss Re hired Simon Herbert as head of casualty underwriting in the same region, replacing Siew Choi Yau, who assumed the role of P&C solutions in the APAC region in January. Herbert most recently worked for AmGeneral Insurance.

Ronnie Tong took the role of head of P&C facultative Asia, joining from Asia Capital Re Group. He previously also had worked for Axa, Zurich Insurance and AIG.

Last but not least, the Swiss firm also announced the appointment of Li Hui Lee as Asia underwriting propositions lead, starting in July. Lee is based in Singapore. Lee joined the Swiss company in 2015.
