The consulting firm named a new strategy chief for its Swiss activities. The current strategy boss Stefan Roesch-Ruetsche is being promoted to managing partner for Switzerland.

EY is naming Michael Messerli as head of strategy and transactions for Switzerland, effective July 1, it said an emailed statement on Thursday. Messerli replaces Stefan Roesch-Ruetsche, who becomes EY's country managing partner for Switzerland.

Messerli, who is Swiss, joined EY seven years ago. He took over as head of transaction diligence last year. EY also named André Bieri its markets partner for Switzerland, for all industries and regions except financial services, which is managed separately. Bieri replaces Reinier Labadie, who retires.
