Swiss payment solutions provider Aduno is dividing up the role of the chief operating officer on the executive board. The previous COO will leave the firm.

Aduno, the Zurich-based payments firm, hired Rolf Fischer as new chief information officer, a new role created at the firm, it said in a statement on Thursday. It also appointed Stefan Kaempfer as chief customer officer.

The new positions created will share the previous duties of Chief Operating Officer Daniel Anders. He will leave the company after ten years on the job – for personal reasons.

Responsible for IT Strategy

Fischer joins from Sanitas, a Swiss health-insurance provider, where he worked as chief information officer. Previously, Fischer had worked for banking giant UBS and Zurich insurance group. Kaempfer was the head of business management and deputy COO at Viseca Card Services, a business owned by Aduno.

Fischer and Kaempfer will report directly to CEO Max Schoenholzer. Fischer will be responsible for the IT strategy of the Aduno Group and its operation. Kaempfer will be in charge of the operational functions at the customer interface.

Aduno in turn is owned by several cantonal and retail banks, including the Swiss giants Raiffeisen and Zuercher Kantonalbank. They receive payment solutions from the joint company.
