The Swiss cooperative lender's technology expert is leaving the board after less than one year for personal reasons.
Anne Bobillier is leaving the board of St. Gallen-based Raiffeisen at the end of this month, the bank said. A 18-year veteran of technology firm Bechtle, Bobillier was a member of the Swiss bank's finance and strategy committee and her term would have run until 2022.
She had joined in October following a board clear-out as a result of a graft scandal involving its former long-time CEO. Raiffeisen said it will name a replacement for Bobillier in due time.
Lack of Diversity
The departure of Bobillier – a native of French-speaking Switzerland – leaves just one woman, Swiss lawyer and notary Karin Valenzano Rossi, on the bank's board. Ex-cantonal bank boss Guy Lachappelle took over as chairman in 2018.
Bobillier is also a board member of power supplier Romande Energie and Swiss air-traffic controller Skyguide. She graduated from the University of Geneva with a degree in computer sciences.
