The battered Swiss bank is replenishing its board with a veteran of technology firm Bechtle.

The St. Gallen-based lender is proposing Anne Bobillier join its board when it convenes for an extraordinary meeting of its member banks on November 16, it said in a statement on Friday. Bobillier is a native of French-speaking Switzerland and a 17-year veteran of Bechtle, a German IT systems house.

The cooperative bank swept out its board last year as a result of a graft scandal involving its former long-time CEO. New Chairman Guy Lachappelle is assembling a body which is untainted by the probe.

Bobillier is also a board member of power supplier Romande Energie and Swiss air-traffic controller Skyguide. She graduated from the University of Geneva with a degree in computer sciences.
