Bank Vontobel has hired a senior relationship manager for the Basel office. The latest addition to its team will advise wealthy families and entrepreneurs.
Markus Vock will join the private bank on October 1, according to a statement by the Zurich-based bank on Wednesday. Vock (pictured below) will have the rank of senior relationship manager at the Basel office of the company.
Vock has so far run his own trust fund and consultancy firm called CRV Advisory. The business lawyer specializes in services for family offices, wealthy clients and entrepreneurs.
Basel as a Growth Market
Basel is one of the growth markets that Vontobel aims to expand further. The bank has a staff of 35 people based in Basel who provide wealth and asset management services to its clients.
Vontobel said that the coronacrisis had increased demand for an integrated financial advisory and active wealth management. It expects that this trend to persist and believes that clients will demand more services and products in connection with their personal provision as a consequence.
