The fintech's chief of compliance in Singapore is leaving after just over a year in the job. He is headed for a similar role at a 215-year-old Swiss wealth manager.

Rayson Tan, who joined Revolut in Singapore last September, has left the company according to a report in «The Business Times» (behind paywall) on Friday. Tan joined the fintech as chief compliance officer, and was later appointed chief risk officer and head of legal in April 2020.

Since his departure, Tan has taken on a new role at Geneva-based private bank Pictet as chief risk officer, Asia. A spokesperson for Pictet confirmed to finews.com the appointment, effective immediately.

Asian Oversight

A veteran banker, Tan was one of Revolut's most senior hires – and one of several to return to traditional banking. At Pictet, he is responsible for overseeing the firm's risk management framework across Asia, covering all key risks including strategic, operational, regulatory, financial, and reputation.

Tan was previously a managing director in compliance and regulatory affairs at Credit Suisse. Prior to the Swiss bank, Tan worked for Deutsche Bank and UBS.
