The Swiss bank is poaching a DWS executive to better target regional private banks with asset management products.

Zurich-based Vontobel is Mavis Huang as a relationship manager in Hong Kong for its asset management unit, it said in an emailed statement on Tuesday. She joins the firm from DWS, where she was responsible for developing relationships with leading local and global private banks as well as with wealth management platforms.

While the Swiss bank has been in Asia since 2009, it has recently stepped up its presence with hiring in the region. Last month, Vontobel opened an office in Singapore to expand its reach in Asia. hiring Benny Gay as head of intermediary clients in Asia and Jeremy Tan as a relationship manager for the same segment.
