Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank is launching a digital bank dedicated to sustainable services. It has taken a renowned fintech entrepreneur on board to help it with the launch.

Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank (BLKB) aims to create a digital financial-services company for the whole of Switzerland, according to a statement released on Friday. This is in line with the strategy of the bank.

The new bank will be a unit of BLKB, but without the state guarantee that the main firm has. The new business will start in the second half of 2022 and include a number of partners for the distribution of its products.
