An experienced fund manager and a pricing specialist are to establish and expand the segment of sustainable health investments in HSBC's asset management in Switzerland.

HSBC Global Asset Management has appointed Nathalie Flury (pictured above) and Michael Schroeter (pictured below) as co-heads of sustainable healthcare equity, according to a statement Tuesday. Based in Switzerland, they will be responsible for a sustainable healthcare investment strategy. In this role, they report to Vis Nayar, European and U.K. chief investment officer.

Flury and Schroeter have more than 40 years of combined healthcare experience and join from Viopas Partners, a Swiss-based asset manager specializing in sustainable healthcare investing. Prior to that, Flury was a portfolio manager for Pictet Asset Management, Health and Biotech Fund. She also previously managed similar funds at GAM and Clariden.

Schroeter previously worked in pricing at Swiss drug giant Roche and as head of research at Eli Lilly in Singapore, among others.
