The departure of the head of corporate banking triggers a series of management changes at Basler Kantonalbank. The institute has decided to fill the gap internally.

Basler Kantonalbank (BKB) has appointed Regula Berger as head of sales to commercial clients, according to a statement issued by the state-owned bank on Wednesday. Berger takes over from Luca Pertoldi, who moved to Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank (BLKB) at the end of last year.

The manager had previously been responsible for legal and compliance – which has now led to the reshuffle. Berger's old charge will be led on an interim basis by Joerg von Felten, head of legal and paralegal. The appointments will take effect from February 1.

CEO With a New Deputy

BKB's bank council will decide on the definitive successor to the head of legal and compliance in the coming months. As of then, the position will be filled again in the executive board as well as in the group executive board.

Andreas Ruesch, head of private clients, has been appointed deputy CEO and deputy chairman of the group executive board under Basil Heeb. This appointment will also take effect on February 1.
