With Swiss indoor dining banned until at least month-end, finews.com looks at the upscale take-out options for the wealthy financiers, fintech millionaires, and commodity heavyweights at home in Zug's crypto valley.

«Family is starving, we did not manage post-New Year's shopping - and #¤@! virus handling has shut down the restaurants,» Niklas Nikolajsen’s griped recently on Facebook. «Dear FB Brain, What can you recommend as take-away options in Zug, Switzerland, which is not pizza & junk food?,» the Bitcoin Suisse co-founder asked.

The crypto pioneer’s complaint is echoed by the scores of bankers, lawyers, and consultants who live in the lakeside town. Roughly 30 kilometers south of Zurich, Zug is also home to luminaries of banking, private equity, and commodities including Ralph Hamers, who dropped anchor after joining UBS as CEO last year.

finews.com looks at the area’s most popular options for those stuck working from home – and tired of pizza or junk food.

Tartare 1

It’s in the name: this carnivore’s dream offers tartar in beef, smoked salmon, or avocado, or aubergine versions.

Tartars are available in 100 gram to 300-gram versions (the classic version – red onions, sardines, capers, dijon mustard, olive oil, sambal oelek, Worcestershire sauce – is priced at 22.90 francs for the smallest, and 49.90 for the largest size).
