Zurich Insurance has appointed a new chief executive for the Nordics region. The previous head will take on a strategic advisory role.
Zurich Insurance has appointed Dirk De Nil as CEO of the Nordics region. The appointment gives De Nil significantly more responsibility, as he is already CEO for the Benelux region, Zurich announced in a statement on Thursday.
De Nil succeeds David Haak, who will focus on a consulting role in the future. Effective immediately, De Nil will also head Zurich's businesses in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.
Asia Pacific – Morocco – Benelux
The manager has been with Zurich since 2008, where he was initially COO of the Asia Pacific region and subsequently took on other management functions. In 2014, De Nil moved to Morocco, where Allianz Group subsequently bought Zurich's business.
Zurich brought him back in 2018 and made him head of Benelux.
