Zurich-based private bank EFG is teaming up with a Swiss regtech. The focus is on eligibility checks for product distribution abroad.

Investment Navigator is delivering its Regtech solution to private bank EFG, according to a statement from the startup on Tuesday. The new tool will allow the institution to automate distribution reviews of services and products, particularly with regard to offshore business across borders.

The solution includes product distribution suitability checks at the ISIN number level for mutual funds, ETFs, and structured products, as well as the digitization of compliance policies for cross-border business activities. The functions will be integrated into EFG's platform globally.

«The mandate to include our automated suitability assessments for pre-advice, pre-trade and post-trade checks into the EFG platforms highlights once again that our solution can reliably and efficiently replace error-prone manual processes,» said Julian Koehler, co-founder and chairman of Investment Navigator.

With the EFG-pact, the regtech, which was founded in Zurich in 2014, has achieved another coup. Since July 2020, the asset management group Aquila has also been using its solutions, and its clients also include the fund center of big bank UBS.
