Zurich-based EFG has expanded its front office with two new hires from Standard Chartered and Bank of Singapore. 

EFG has appointed Ravi Ramakrishnan the Singapore branch’s market group head covering the global South Asia (GSA) market, according to a statement.

He has 30 years of private banking experience, most recently as managing director and head of GSA and MENA (Middle East and North Africa) at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore. Prior to that, he was managing director and market head of Middle East & Africa at DBS Bank. Previously, he also held senior roles at HSBC, RBC and Clariden Leu.

Greater China

The Swiss private bank has also appointed Alex See as market group head for the Greater China market. See has 25 years of banking and wealth management experience, most recently as managing director and market head of Greater China at Bank of Singapore. He had also previously held senior roles at ING Asia, HSBC and Citibank.

In their new roles, Ramakrishnan and See will both join as members of EFG’s Asia business committee and report to Singapore branch CEO Tho Gea Hong.
